I have been in the real estate industry in various capacities for several years. I had been in financial services most of my adult career, then got laid off after covid started. I started helping my friend do handyman work to get some income coming in, and decided I enjoyed working on homes. What was really cool was that I was able to provide a solution to a need, without the threat of being laid off or fired. I probably could have built up the handyman business, bc there are so many flaky handymen lol. But in this world where people ghost and don't respond, I thought I could stand out by being an open door, even to my detriment sometimes. I thought I could stand out in real estate by being reliable, honest and always responding, without being a pushy spam sales guy. Nobody likes that stuff. I probably lose a few prospective clients bc I'm not pushy enough, but I've had enough clients ditch other agents and come with me bc I'm just here to help. I also do stand up comedy around Phoenix. I'm hoping to publish my first novel soon, a ghost story that takes place in Flagstaff.
