About Ben

Ben McCoy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with an academic emphasis in land-use law, land-use planning, environmental law, and environmental science. He brings this interdisciplinary foundation to his work as a Global Real Estate Advisor with Pacific Sotheby's International Realty, where he is recognized throughout the nation for his experience, market knowledge, ethics, highly refined negotiation tools and thoughtful client representation. Prior to entering luxury real estate, Ben spent two decades in the forensic engineering and construction defect litigation field as a senior level project manager, contributing to the investigation and resolution of complex legal matters involving geotechnical and civil engineering, construction, and property-related failures. Outside of work, Ben is deeply involved in community and nonprofit service, serving as Vice President of the Board for D'Vine Path. One of the highlights of his real estate career was serving on the sales team that helped D'Vine Path acquire its new farm and vineyard campus in Fallbrook, California, in 2021. Ben also supports Agents of Change by donating a portion of each home sale to help build homes for families in Mexico. In addition, he and his business partner regularly glean backyard fruit on behalf of local property owners and donate it to the Fallbrook Food Pantry. Ben is also an active supporter of his two teenage daughters' school PTOs through both volunteer work and financial contributions. He takes immense pride in watching his daughters pursue their interests in academics, dance, athletics, musical theater, and equestrian activities. In his free time, Ben enjoys landscape photography, running, hiking, and visiting the many local wineries throughout North San Diego County.
