About Gary
One of the things most people don't know about me is that I am an avid guitar player. I love playing guitar just about any time. Whether it's writing music, playing cover tunes, or sitting in on a jam session at a local night club, it's all just so much fun for me. But when it comes to representing a seller or a buyer, my focus is completely on them. In fact, I've often been asked, months after someone has bought or sold a home, "how come I never knew about you playing guitar?" It just seems that I get so engrossed in helping them get what they want that me even mentioning guitar never seems to come up. Besides, there's always time for that at the house warming party. Every client I work with has an invitation from me to host their house warming party. Regretfully, only a small portion actually take me up on it. But I have one coming up this week that should be fun! I typically bring over excellent food and beverages. I'm fortunate that my brother owns a marvelous Italian restaurant nearby and he always does a spectacular job for my clients. It's been in our upbringing that that's what family is for, to help one another. My sister helps him with his bookkeeping, he helps me offer great parties to my clients, and I help him because he charges me a small fortune for the service :) ... but it's worth it. Speaking of worth it, do you know that a buyer never has to pay me a cent to provide them with top notch service, including the house warming party? That's right, it's completely free to them. In case you didn't know, it's actually the seller that pays me. So as a buyer, you may as well have me help you at no cost and the food and drinks are free too! It may sound like all I want to do is eat and drink and have fun. Well, that's not too far off base actually. I think when someone is moving it should be a fun and exciting time. Sure, I'll handle all the details with the highest amount of professionalism that 20 years of experience bring. But that doesn't mean it has to be a painful experience for you. In fact, I do everything in my power to minimize the hassle of making a move. It's an anxious and exhilarating time for you, why not enjoy the ride? For testimonials (and I can't fit them all) see my website or take a look at Yelp! Better yet, come to one of my client parties (there I go again) and talk to many of my past clients and learn for yourself why I do almost all my business by referral. Are you over 55? If so, you might be able to qualify for certain tax deductions that will save you on income tax and, if you play it smart, can also save you on property tax on the home you buy when you sell. Contact me for details. Curious about the market? Every month I post the latest sales trends on my website while the media and the rest of the world is wondering what happened. As a graduate from San Jose State with a degree in Accounting, I love using the numbers side of the game to help understand what the market is really doing in order to give information to my clients that they can use to make meaningful decisions. And if you're thinking about selling, that's when I put my MBA degree (with a Marketing concentration) from Golden Gate University to good use. Having this knowledge helps us to position and market your home properly allowing us to target just the right buyer who is willing to pay top dollar for your home. From ultra luxury properties to entry level condo's, this is an effective plan to have working for you. If you're interested in one stop shopping, I've developed a list of preferred service providers over the years that take the guesswork out of knowing who to call. No more yellow pages, even it it's now dot-com. You can use my trusted professionals and know with confidence that they will be knowledgeable and stand behind their work. These are professionals that I do not take any compensation from, but have referred numerous times over the years. They roll out the red carpet for you. They're there on time and on budget. One last tidbit of info on me. I was born at O'Conner Hospital in San Jose. I've seen this area change from orchards to a high tech center. So I'm familar with the area. I serve on the Board of Directors for the local Chamber of Commerce as well as serve a s Board Member of the Santa Clara Schools Foundation to benefit children's education. I was fortunate to get a good education. Not everyone has that opportunity so it's my chance to give something back.
