About John

Home means something profound to me. They’re not just walls and a roof (although those help!). Rather, they’re repositories of memories and emotions. The places where we should feel the safest, and most able to be “ourselves.” I understand and respect the meaning of home. I don't view buying or selling as just a transaction, but a process and a journey. My usual stomping grounds are Mission Hills, Hillcrest, University Heights, North Park, South Park and Golden Hill. But I'm also very familiar with, among others, La Mesa, Downtown and East Village, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Point Loma and La Jolla. Each of these neighborhoods have their distinct flavor and vibe, but one thing they all share is a walkable and pedestrian friendly environment. Some of the awards and accolades I've earned is John Bertsch Day from the San Diego City Council, an Orchid Award from the San Diego Architectural Foundation, LEED designation, and being named San Diego Small Business Owner of the Year -- 2017 by State Senate President Toni Atkins. Most recently, I've been recognized as one of the top three agents in Mission Hills based on google ratings.
