About Michael A

Michael Ames is the broker/owner of Patriot Properties, a residential real estate brokerage focusing primarily on REO properties. Started in 2008, Patriot Properties quickly became the local board of REALTORS fastest growing brokerage in SAMCAR history. Michael started his real estate career at Carlmont Associates in Belmont, later moving to Cashin Company in San Carlos where he quickly became the number one agent in the San Carlos office. Michael attained his brokerage license in 2002, while continuing his real estate education at the College of San Mateo. Believing in continued education, he is constantly honing his skills by attending courses and seminars, focusing primarily on REO, such as default school, and specific lender courses. Mr. Ames holds the CRS, GRI and coveted CREO designations. In addition, as a short sale expert, Michael holds the CDPE designation. Michael attends REO conferences throughout the year, including REOMAC, NRBA, NAHREP/AREAA, REO Expo, etc. Mr. Ames is requested to speak at functions throughout the area to share his expertise to other agents and staff. Also, Michael is asked to be an expert witness in real estate cases. As a member of NRBA, NAR, CAR, SAMCAR, CRS, GRI, CDPE, NIREB, and AREAA, Michael shows his commitment to the REO business and to real estate in general. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael is very familiar with all the various niche neighborhoods and local markets.
