During her tenure at MSEA the agency was responsible for the financing of the Miami Arena, and the financial analysis related to the NBA, MLB and NHL Miami expansion teams. She specialized in investment banking when she joined a Wall Street Firm in 1993. In the midst of her investment banking career she was asked to serve as the Comptroller to the City of Miami to assist with a financial crisis that led the Florida Governor to appoint a Financial Oversight Board.
