About Richard
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Rick Stewart's professional career began in the medical field, where he spent 23 years as a podiatrist in the Foot and Ankle Surgery Center at Ohio State University Hospitals. In 1996, Rick took an early retirement and moved to Punta Gorda, FL, where he purchased and operated Yachting Vacations, Inc, an award-winning sailboat charter company at Burnt Store Marina. Later, he owned and managed three different restaurants in the area. Rick ultimately saw real estate as the perfect way to share his knowledge of and passion for Florida's Gulf Coast, and having personally bought and sold many homes throughout his life, he offers a unique sensitivity to both sides of the transaction. An avid musician and singer, Rick has entertained crowds from 10 to 10,000 people performing as “Capn' Rick”. Engaged to Nancy, Rick is proud of his three children and nine grandchildren, whom he counts as his greatest accomplishment.
