Growing up on a family farm in southwest Nebraska, Jay developed a strong work ethic and an appreciation for the land at an early age. He purchased his first piece of real estate, a parcel of farmland, at just 17 years old and spent the next decade farming. Over the years, Jay's diverse career has included teaching middle school, working as a contractor for five years, and spending three years serving as a missionary in Belize. These experiences have given him valuable skills in communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and understanding the needs of people from all walks of life. Jay and his wife moved to Moscow, Idaho, in 2014, without any previous connections to the area. Growing up in Nebraska, Jay had admired pictures of the Palouse Hills in farming magazines and was drawn to the region's unique landscape. Since moving here, he has come to appreciate not only the beautiful rolling hills but also the changing seasons, diverse communities, and quality of life the Palouse offers. Jay and his wife are raising their four children in the area and built their family home north of Potlatch. His firsthand experience with purchasing land, farming, building homes, and living in rural communities gives him a practical understanding of real estate, particularly when it comes to rural properties, acreage, farmland, and residential homes.
