About Grissell

About me I moved to Davidson, NC from Northern Virginia, but spent my youth years living abroad in countries like Philippines, Morocco, Greece and England. While abroad, I enjoyed learning and experiencing first-hand about other people’s culture, food and way of life. I received a bachelor’s degree in dance from George Mason University and, following my college years, I dedicated my time and energy to perform classical ballet and contemporary dance in New York, Washington DC and Charlotte. In addition to performing, I received a certification as a classical Pilates instructor, which has allowed me to help clients achieve their health goals while building lasting relationships. I like to take advantage of the North Carolina weather and be outdoors as much as possible with my husband and two amazing children. My daughter is nine years old and is a member of the Sailfish swim team. My son is five and recently joined the Charlotte Independence Soccer Academy. During our free time, we tune in to watch Real Madrid and can be heard cheering the team on from across the street. I am a reader an avid supporter of the arts and love to spend a day in a museum or in a theater or catch up on reading a good historical fiction. I am passionate about cooking and do not pass up the opportunity to host friends and family. Since moving to North Carolina, I have fallen in love with the friendliness and down to earth nature of Charlotteans. The Queen City and its surroundings offer the perfect balance of nature and city living to allow residents to feel proud and visitors feel welcome. From personal experience, finding the right area and community to raise a family can be overwhelming.
