My path to real estate has been shaped by service, family, community, and a deep respect for what "home" really means. Before becoming "Tim Dye, the Real Estate Guy," I had the opportunity to teach English overseas, work hands-on with wildlife, serve in mental health care, and build my own local entertainment business. Each chapter taught me something different: patience, communication, adaptability, and the importance of showing up for people when it matters. I returned home to help my mom prepare and sell her house, and that experience gave me a personal understanding of how emotional, overwhelming, and important a real estate decision can be. While back in North Carolina, I worked in a group home supporting individuals with schizophrenia — meaningful work that strengthened my empathy and taught me how to stay steady in complex situations. It was also where I met my co-worker, who would later become my wife. Over time, I found myself drawn toward work that allowed me to serve people more directly, build something of my own, and stay connected to the community around me. That led me to start my own music bingo company, which gave me the flexibility to support my family during an important season of caregiving. After that chapter, real estate felt like a natural next step. It brought together the parts of my life that have always mattered most: service, strategy, relationships, community, and home. Today, I'm proud to be growing roots in Moore County and helping buyers and sellers move forward with clarity, confidence, and care.
