About Kate

Kate Youman is a 5th-generation Texan proud to have grown up in Austin. As the daughter of one of Austin's first female real estate entrepreneurs and the Dean of Architecture at UT Austin, Kate is intimately versed in the art of finding beautiful living spaces in Austin's iconic and up-and-coming neighborhoods. Kate places great value on the strong sense of community she has established and the commitment to empowering and nurturing people to live the life of their dreams. Kate began working in a real estate office as an assistant at the age of 16 and, after college, became a licensed Realtor® and began listing and selling residential homes, lots, ranches, and lakefront property in Austin and the surrounding hill country, as well as in Denver, Colorado. Kate values her connections in Austin’s social and business communities. Her long history of local philanthropic involvement includes being a founding board member of The Heart Forward Foundation, member of the ASH Design Board at Dell Medical School at UT Austin, The Junior Leagues of Austin and Denver, Communities for Recovery, Eanes Education Foundation, American Heart Association. Kate loves to play tennis, enjoys spending time in the country at her family’s ranch in Star, Texas, and boating on Lake Austin with her family which includes Rick, her husband of 30 years, and her two daughters Haley and Hannah, both UT Austin graduates.
