My name is Liz Amaro and I am a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Memorial in Houston, working under the brand The Physicians Realtor. My practice centers on helping physicians, residents, fellows, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals buy, sell, and lease homes in the Houston area. Most of my clients are arriving for residency, fellowship, or an attending position at one of the Texas Medical Center institutions, or they are existing healthcare professionals looking to upgrade, relocate within Houston, or invest in additional property. I am married to a physician and grew up around the Houston medical community, which gave me a working understanding of how medical training, credentialing timelines, call schedules, and physician income structures actually affect a home purchase or sale. I can speak to the realities of commuting to the Texas Medical Center from different parts of Houston, how to think about renting versus buying during residency, and which lenders run strong physician loan programs for doctors, dentists, and other clinicians.
