Monica has been a licensed realtor since 2002, representing buyers and sellers in Austin, Texas, where she has lived for 24 years. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989 with a Liberal Arts degree in performing arts, then studied Broadcast/Journalism in graduate school. Her work as a commercial model, actress, TV host, and reporter took her around the world, exposing her to diverse cultures and architecture. She then spent six years as a top salesperson and Regional Vice President in high-tech, until 38 business trips with her infant son in his first 11 months inspired a change. With an architect father and a lifelong passion for homes, marketing, and people, real estate was a natural fit. Her varied background sharpened her communication skills, her use of technology to market and coordinate transactions, and her creativity in finding or selling the right property. Monica is also deeply involved in philanthropy, having served on the board of or volunteered with Any Baby Can, Dell Children’s Hospital, Caring for Cambodia, United Way, Austin Children’s Shelter, Junior League, My Healing Place, Lake Travis Education Foundation, Ballet Austin, Serene Hills Elementary PTO, and Hudson Bend Middle School PTO. She was also a nominee for the “Citizen of the Year” award in the Lakeway/Lake Travis area.
